2.5" Diam at Base / 3" Diam at widest point x 5.75" H
Strehla Keramik, active until 1989, produced pottery in the town of Strehla, Germany. Their work, particularly from the 1960s and 1970s, often featured hand-applied glazes or a "fat lava" texture, with many pieces marked on the base with "Strehla Keramik" inside a triangle and "GDR" (German Democratic Republic). The pitcher in the image features a characteristic brown clay body with a variegated beige and green drip or "lava texture" glaze.
